The Electrostatic Precipitator: Application and Concepts

An electrostatic Precipitator is essentially a filtration device that helps to get rid of fine particles such as dust and smoke. This is done via induced electrostatic charge. This hampers the flow of gases.  The use of an electrostatic precipitator is usually done for air pollution control.
